Entry 16: I Commited Sacrilege On My Bike Tour, But I Got a Free Beer

So by "sacrilege"' I drove to New Orleans from Biloxi. I rented a car from Hertz, but only because rt 90 was closed off due to some bridges falling into disrepair. It would have taken me days to detour to New Orleans. Any way Im staying at my first Hostel, the India House, as recommended to me by a friend from the UK (she swears by them).
Its a nice place, its got a pool (wish I brought my swim trunks).
I hit up a bar and got myself a Guinness and a free Blue Moon! Some one from the company that bottles the beer was buying everyone at the bar free Blue Moons and I wasnt about to turn down a free beer.
(I took this picture after the leaving the bar, super buzzed btw (still kinda buzzed writing this blog entry too btw))
Tomorrow I plan to stick around and find me some beignets and visit the French Quarter. Maybe Ill hit up some more bars and maybe Ill be able to score some more beer.
Today I drove 79 miles and rode about 12 miles. I spent $108 for the car rental and gas, $20 for a night at the hostel, $24 for lunch & dinner, and $7 for beer.
