Gear

I'll update my gear list as I use it on my travel thru the southern states, but for now, let me show off what all my gear looks like strapped to my bike.
I have no idea what all this gear weight adds to my already 30lb bike, but its a lot and its gona be a absolute hassle to bring up any flight of stairs.

At the rear, I've got 2 panniers and one dry bag strapped to the rear rack. The right pannier has my cooking equipment and my left pannier has my food and bathroom kit. The dry bag and sandals are tied down with 2 bungie cords and in the dry bag are my clothes, inflatable sleeping pad and sleeping bag.

At the front I've got a rando bag with my cold weather jacket, rain poncho, snacks and maps. I've got a chalk bag to my right that has a nautical air horn with a face mask over the bugle, bear mace, my sunglasses, and a mini shovel. I will be going thru bear territory so that's what the bear mace is for; incidentally I might be able to resolve any bear encounters with the air horn, but I mostly got the airhorn for drivers that piss me off. I've also got a Bluetooth speaker that's hooked up to my phone so I can listen to podcasts, music or google maps.

On my back, Ive got a backpack with my tent strapped to the bottom. My backpack is mostly for my expensive electronics like my Samsung tablet (for movies and drawing) and my Nintendo Switch, but its also to carry extra water. I've got a regular metal water bottle on one side, 1.4 liter Nalgene bottle on the other, and a 3 liter water bladder inside backpack. I've also got my solar powered lantern strapped to the top of my bag so that it can catch the sunlight while I'm riding during the day. I've also got my dish rag and my mesh coffee filter strapped to the back of my bag mostly because after I use and clean both, I wont want to stick either of them inside any of my packs while they're still damp and wet.
