Entry 14: Alabama Kinda Smells

Started off my morning with another donut run, thank god Lickin Good Donuts is a chain. Ok I know the whole state of Alabama doesnt smell, just the part by the gulf. I could smell fish and somethin' ripe all day while I was riding. 

I got to take the ferry today which was exciting.

This ferry saved me a few days of riding, otherwise, I'd have to detour thru Mobil. It only took about 30 min to cross the water into Dauphin Island. 

2 hours and a drawbridge later I finally got to Bayou La Batre.

Today I rode 47 miles and spent $6 for the ferry, $3 for donuts, $15 for lunch, $5 for dinner, and $80 for the Bayou Inn.
