Entry 4: Saddle Sores Are No Joke But $20 Sure Helps

Started my morning pretty early today and said goodbye to the nice motel lady (who used to live in Watchung a few towns over from where I lived) and made my way for a Hardee's breakfast. Pretty early on in my ride, a woman in a minivan pulled up next to me and asked me if I believed in god. Before I could come up with an answer she said "well I believe in god and god told me to give you this." And she handed me $20 and told me she thought what I was doing was pretty great. I thanked her and asked her to thank god on my behalf and we rode off in opposite directions. That made my day, but to be honest, I wished I ran into her later in the day because I could have used her charity as a second wind.
Damn today was hard. My legs where in good shape but my rump was another story. Im guessing it didnt have enough time to recover since yesterday's 60 mile ride and boy did I feel it pretty early on. It was a pretty rough ride
(Got to satisfy my fix for snapping pics of bridges.)
By the time I got to the motel in Monticello, the guy said there were no more rooms left so I had to ride an additional 5 miles to the next town to stay at a pricier Days Inn and I was already exhausted by that point. The upside was, the Inn manager told me he's seen other cyclists like me on the same journey like me stay here before. Somehow that made me feel better.
Total miles cycled today was 65 miles and cost of Hardee's breakfast(I stretched out for my lunch also) was $9, the Days Inn was $119, and my McDonald's dinner was $5.
